2 cups flour

¼ cup sugar

1 tbsp. salt

2 packages yeast

2 ½ cups milk

¼ cup oil

1 egg

4-5 cups flour

Combine flour sugar, salt and dry yeast in a large mixer bowl. Scald milk and add oil. Cook milk to lukewarm and add to flour mixture. Add egg. Beat ½ minute at low speed, 3 minutes at medium speed. By hand, gradually stir in 4-5 cups additional flour to form a soft dough. Cover dough and let rise until double. Shape into two loaves. Place in greased loaf pans. Cover and let rise until light. Bake 375 degrees F. for 35-40 minutes.
